Youth In Christ Ministry

Adding the Value of Life to Young Peolple through Christ

Emancipation

I

Was there; lost in the centre of nowhere in the middle of nothing

Lonely and cold the waves of insignificants passing

Over my formless body. Everlasting waters covered me sheltering me from

My emotions were clouded with nothing: my thoughts were filled with void

It passed me that I was nothing – that my existence was a mockery

Indeed I was an outcast – a black sheep of the family.

So sang my thoughts. Little did I Know that I was the only one

In my family that can carry life. And become a place where

Royalty would dwell. Oh I remember that day where I was emancipated

From the shackles of the deep.

Oh I was like the one who dreams. He emerged from the blue…

Stood on top of empty space as in concrete

He was ferocious in appearance. His form spit out violent flames of fire

Oh! is as if it was yesterday: darkness trembling, visibility applauding

As he opened His mouth to swallow up the void into His creativity.

Oh! I remember, I remember him undressing me of ancient waters

And dressed me of ornately designed colours even aligned me with

Well simulated trees. Now I am the beauty and charm of the universe

I alone, among my brethren, can sustain life.

I am not boasting, just can’t keep quite:

In the visible I am the first to see Him “mh”.

Pastor Sizwe Tshabalala

The mind of God

So my own mind crawls in fatigue and exhaustion, when I gaze

At the radiance of His mind, wisdom faints, worthless does it feels.“Before such, why do I exist?” It ponder

Thoughts that shoot like thunder bolts, genius that flashes like nuclear bomb

Penetrated the vacuum that clothed the deep.

And uncovered dormant beauty; to reveal His pleasure.

As the great waves of the sea,

so was his creativity as it erupted-

when He sketched the foundation of the sea above.

Such a brilliant mind, breaths so pure thoughts,

reveals muddy reasons I so cherished as supreme.     Pastor: Sizwe Tshabalala

Exposes such foolishness I counted as prestige.

My mind trembles and faint before Him.

As a thief runs from an officer; so my intelligence flees from him.

At once I lay of these rags to embrace such brilliance.

Now I behold in contempt even in detestation;

the plans I once romance, as a lover showing

affection to his beloved.

Now I see; clearly I perceive: human waste is fresher and brighter

Than my plans when compared to His for me.
